Harry Connick Bites Burgers with Hilary Swank, Ashley Tisdale Has Outfitters to Thank; Zac Efron Gets Some Joe; Megan Fox Sports Cameltoe
Others seen around town: Ray Romano, Hilary Duff, Michael Rappaport and more.
Why are Harry Connick Jr. and two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank doing out together trying an Umami Burger in Studio City?
It wasn’t hard to figure out. The P.S., I Love You co-stars were grabbing a bite just before she introduced the Emmy-winning singer, actor and musician at a charity event at the Hollywood Bowl. She was joined by actor Andy Garcia, singer Gloria Estefan and music producer Quincy Jones at the Hollywood Bowl Opening Night Gala.
That night, there was also a sneak peek at the Cirque du Soleil show "IRIS - A Journey Through the World of Cinema." The show will be housed at the Kodak Theatre, which will only have that show and the Oscars (for which it was built.) This charity had proceeds going to a music education program that reaches more than 120,000 children and teachers every year.
They were at Umami Burger in Studio City at about 2:30 p.m. and sitting in the corner booth. Our source said, “She was sans make-up and he was in a baseball cap. They sat for quite a long time, and it was somewhat sad to see all the people gawking at them and continually walking by to get a glimpse. Yet they remained fixated in conversation. When they left through the back, she got into a black Porsche. They both looked really good, very healthy and content.”
Around Town Around the Week . . .
Sunday
Zac Efron looked relaxed and smiled for the camera while coming out of a Starbucks with a grande something or other. (See the photo gallery above.)
Monday
Hilary Duff stopped by an office building early in the week and turned heads because of her handbag and sunglasses. The fashion police found out what exactly the pieces were and where they came from in Studio City.
Tuesday
Poor Megan Fox. The fashion magazines were making fun of her cameltoe and Spandex when she was out walking with her hubby, Brian Austin Green.
Wednesday
Ashley Tisdale went out looking for a new outfit, and she found shorts, a handbag and sandals while at Outfitters. She wore it all home.
Thursday
Ray Romano was at Katsuya for lunch, looking dapper.
Friday
Michael Rappaport directed a major hip-hop history documentary called Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest, and premiered it at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre screening in the Cahuenga Pass as part of the Los Angeles Film Festival. Before doing that he stopped in with his entourage at Henry’s Hat in Studio City. On the last day of the festival on Sunday, Guillermo del Toro presents the chilling film, The Arcane Enchanter. Tickets for LAFF are still available.
