The days of unemployment have come to an end.

In fact, I have been overwhelmed every week by the incredible support you have given my column. I have shared with you all my secrets, all my flaws, all my fears, all my heart.

And, in return, I have received that same honesty from you. So, it gives me great pleasure to tell you some really wonderful news.

I got a job. Starting today, as you read my column, I will be sitting in the writers room on the hit show Two and a Half Men.

I could not be more thrilled. You have walked with me through this seemingly never-ending journey of unemployment. You have lifted my spirits, given me hope, made me laugh and listened to my stories.

You have helped me in more ways than you know. Strangers. Friends. Family. Even enemies... thank you.

The greatest moment in all of this was when I told my daughter I got the job. She looked at me, beaming with joy, wrapped her arms around me and said,

"I never stopped believing in you, Mommy. Even when you stopped believing in yourself. I told you you're a writer."

To celebrate my good news I decided to treat myself to a new outfit to wear to work.
