UPDATE: Bieber Blamed for Ferrari Bump

The pop star's black Ferrari collides with Honda Civic in an underground garage.

Seventeen-year-old pop star Justin Bieber, a Studio City resident, was uninjured after his car bumped into another at about noon Tuesday.

Los Angeles Police clarified that Bieber backed into another car while driving his black Ferrari F430, and that one of Bieber's representatives who was with him at the time suggested that police be called. But, no damage was noted and no police report was taken, said LAPD spokesperson Karen Rayner.

Bieber, who has been seen shopping along Ventura Bouelvard quite a bit over the past two weeks in Studio City, and is often followed by paparazzi, usually has a bodyguard also accompanying him. (He recently went practically unrecognized in Bed, Bath & Beyond.)

Bieber was driving a black Ferrari that collided with a Honda Civic at about noon in an underground parking garage in Studio City, police said. The other driver was not identified.

Bieber's car "tapped" the other car in the apartment parking garage of a building in the 10900 block of Bluffside Drive, said Rayner. Bluffside Drive is a street of apartment buildings near the 101 Ventura Freeway and not far from Weddington Park. No one received a ticket, and police did not question the pop star.

Police said although no one was hurt and no damage was reported, the paparazzi still showed up.

It's only a few days since Bieber won at the 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre. (See photos in the gallery above.)

TMZ has exclusive photos of Bieber at the scene (click here), and reports that the car was not his Ferrari. Also above, check out other photos of Bieber in his Ferrari and also video of him driving.

His age has a lot to do with not having enough experience to drive such a fast car, time will buy experience not money.

The fender bump was not his fault. He was "tapped from behind". Perhaps the person driving the Civic was an over zealous fan or paparazzi.

Really, really, now he's Mister Big Shot driving his Ferrari and acting stupid. He should have stayed on You Tube and left it at that. I don't see what all the fuss is about with this guy! 10 years from now, no one will even know what's he up to or care to know. He should count his blessings and enjoy what he has now, because I can name several teeny boppers who were famous one day and gone the next.

The article says he was "tapped from behind" by the other car. It does not indicate fault. So, way to know if he was "acting stupid" or "can't handle the car". From the slant of the article, it sounds like the other driver was at fault. Will have to wait and see if anything else is said before declaring Justin the issue here.

When I was 18, the kid across the street (18 too) inherited 100K because his dad died and he got life insurance. He bought a new Porche and died in it within a month. He was driving 100 miles an hour, went out of control, and slammed into a post on the roadway. He was too young and experienced a driver to have that car. That's all I'm saying.

In the article it clearly states, "Los Angeles Police clarified that Bieber backed into another car while driving his black Ferrari F430". Second paragraph very beginning. Way to read the article. Maybe you should go back to school and learn how to read. Justin was at fault, as stated by the police.

He seems like a nice enough kid and so what if he owns a Ferrari. He works, makes his own money, and good for him. Success isn't a sin and it isn't a surprise that a 17 year old American guy wants a black Ferrari. Leave the guy alone. Geeesh!

Get real! His whole existence hinges on the charity of other more established artists who have done duets with him, and song writers and musicians who have created the music he bellows through auto-tune machines to fool the public into thinking he can sing. I don't like Lady Gaga because she stole he entire image, but she is doing it mostly under her own steam. Creep is recruiting other artists to do the work for him so his sophomore CD isn't a flop. If he's so talented, then PROVE IT!! Let him do it on his own without the help of other high profile artist. Let's see what he's really made of... eh.

Somebody must be desperate for a news story. Alot of people get tapped from behind daily.... it isn't in the newspaper the next day. Does it even qualify as a "crash", no damage....so not even a fender bender. I saw nothing that said that he was doing anything "stupid", he could have been waiting in line to leave. I have been in parking garages and almost been hit numerous times just waiting in line. I am not a Bieber fan but I sure don't hate him either.

What part of "tapped from behind" don't you people understand? He was clearly not at fault. Regardless of WHAT you personally think about Bieber or his talent, he obviously has earned his own money and could afford the car and the insurance required to cover a 17 year old, (which I am certain is quite outrageous). I wonder what kind of dimbulb would follow somebody that closely in a parking garge to where they would actually hit the behind of another vehicle. Whatever the damage, the person driving the Honda Civic was at fault. I hope THEY have good insurance becaue I am certain ANY minute damage, (even a small scratch), on a Ferrari would be very expensive to repair. Their insurance company would probably cancel them. That is, IF they even HAD insurance...more than half of the people in Southern California don't.

I totally agree. it clearly says that the other car hit him, so stop saying its his fault; and if I was that rich i would probably have a nice car as well, so i dont know why its such a big deal.

He was clearly at fault as stated by the POLICE! Yes, beiber has earned his money and he has every right to spend it the way he wants to, so cudos to him. I wonder what kind of dimbulb would not understand something that is clearly stated. I hope next time YOU read more carefully.

This is directly from the article you are all commenting on here. " Los Angeles Police clarified that Bieber backed into another car while driving his black Ferrari F430, and that one of Bieber's representatives who was with him at the time suggested that police be called. But, no damage was noted and no police report was taken, said LAPD spokesperson Karen Rayner" Where is this article does it say Bieber was tapped? NO WHERE! Wow..it's like playing telephone here. Give the guy some credit for reporting the incident at all! So much judgement and negativety. Would this much attention be given to any other 17 year old? Who cares what he was driving? He wasn't speeding or driving recklessly. How many of you have called the police to report that your car tapped another car....you know you didn't.

Woo hoo, Do you know how much experience he has driving? Also do think any 17 year old can handle a high performance car? There are many kids who race very high performance cars. Your neighbor kid that inherited 100,00 is not the same as someone who earned their money and is comparing apples to oranges. Nothing personal but you seem to have something against the kid like maybe jealousy. I think he is talented but would never buy his music not my cup of tea. But give him props for chasing his dream and living it.

"Los Angeles Police clarified that Bieber backed into another car while driving his black Ferrari, " 1st sentence, 2nd paragraph -- he BACKED into another car, nobody backed into him... That being said, I don't think the car matters at all... he's a young driver who backed out too quickly w/o looking, many of us has done that w/o making the news.... That being said, though this could have happened with any type of car, I still do not think a Ferrari is the best car for a newer driver, but if he paid for it himself and earned it himself, I think it's fine, but he has to be more careful with it

A host for Access Hollywood went into the studio with the jerk and sang a few songs with him. They both sounded like whooping hyenas, but once the track was fed through the auto-tune machine, they sounded almost human. So where has he "earned" the money when he doesn't write his own songs. He doesn't make up his own dance steps. He doesn't play the instruments himself. That's not even his actual voice we hear on the CD's. All he is is the conduit to make money for the companies who were looking for someone to fit the bill. The fag got lucky because he came at the beginning of the internet craze where the music industry jumped on the reality bus by going to the well of people who posted their videos on the web for the public to see. So he got a lot of hits due to that. He got attention because the process was new, not because he had some outstanding talent. Look at the others who followed. None have had the success the punk has had because the phenomenon isn't new anymore, and the field is now
over-saturated. It's unfortunate for him the punk believes his own hype. I can't wait until he steps out of Oz and sees it's all just an illusion. Rehab will be waiting.
