Robert Blake's Vitello's Seat to Go on eBay?

It used to be—at least for the past 10 years—that people would come in to and ask where was the seat that sat in the night his wife Bonny Lee Bakley was shot around the corner on the streets of Studio City.

That piece of furniture was almost as famous as the details of the crime on May 4, 2001. Blake was a and a longtime Studio City resident who came to the same booth that he sat at for years and even had a spinach and pasta dish named for him.

That night, after hearound the corner on Woodbridge Street, he returned to the restaurant to retrieve his gun left at the booth, and the went back to find his wife shot.

Thestill has true-crime gawkers fascinated, but the Robert Blake seat may be going up on eBay someday.

"We've considered putting it up on eBay," said Vitello's general manager Brad Rouen. "I'm all about letting the past go and moving forward."

Blake himself seemed to be moving forward, touting a new book recently and where he said the death of his wife was not the most significant thing that happened to him in his life.

It's still unclear when and if this piece of Hollywood true-crime lore may be available to the public (see video above). Rouen's partner Matt Epstein said he may want to re-install it upstairs near the jazz club along with pieces of the handpainted mural that was on the wall that came out during their open-air renovation that brings a whole new look to Vitello's.

Either way, Rouen promises that Studio City Patch will be the first to know.
