Shatner's "$#*!" and 8 Other Shows Shot at CBS Radford Lot Get the Boot

'Defenders,' 'Outsourced' and many other shows are canceled that were shot locally.

 At least nine shows that are shot in part on the in Studio City have been canceled over the past week, announced by the various studios.

Studio City resident had “$#*!” to say about the cancellation of his showthat was being filmed just down the block from his house in the on Radford Street.

Actually, 80-year-old Shatner took it well, telling his fans on Twitter that he appreciated “the outpouring of love you have shown $#*! My Dad Says. I thank all of you for watching.” He’s busy taping a documentary about Star Trek called The Captains.

Although  it’s the CBS Studio Lot on Radford, movies and shows from many other studios are filmed there, and canceled there, too. CW’s Hellcats was canned, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was canceled on CBS, as was from ABC, TNT’s Dark Blue and NBC’s Perfect Couples.

NBC’s second highest-rated scripted show was also canceled. It fell in the ratings when it moved to a 10:30 p.m. slot in the spring.

was canceled after two episodes by NBC before the scenes shot at (in the kitchen and restaurant) and at Walter Reed Middle School were used (starting in the sixth episode.)

, starring Jim Belushi and local resident Jerry O’Connell, was dropped and the show viewership declined after it moved from Wednesdays to Fridays.

Shows that continue to be shot at the Radford lot that were recently renewed include , Hawaii 5-O, CSI:NY and Melissa & Joey from Disney.
