Studio City Residents Updated on Weddington Project

Paul Krekorian re-emphasized his commitment to keep the area from being developed.

Then members were updated about the plan to keep the from being developed, and saving it as green space and a public park.

Los Angeles , who represents the area, re-emphasized his commitment to keep the property off the Los Angeles River as green space, saying, “It is one of the most important green spaces along the river.”

Esther Feldman, president of Community Conservation Solutions also explained some of the artist renderings of the area, and why the property is so perfect for a park. It has a parking lot already nearby, it has schools nearby and water can be filtered in and out of the area easily.

Krekorian also pointed out that it is a long way from turning the area into a park, and that there are not even any moves to purchase the property from the owners. However, development of the project into condos has not proceeded.
