Yes, well said! And, the word that stands out to me the most is, 'just'. I rarely do anything withRead More 'just' in mind......there're so many things behind that 'just'. Anyway, you've written something well appreciated, and the man's side of the story, 'just wanna get l..d' is waiting to be written about, too. Some guys do, and some guys don't. Some guys want a mutually loving, nurturing, supportive companionship. In a word, 'friendship'. OK, that being said, I'm off to another boring dating website! :-)

I went into this museum while I was getting my car serviced across the street and found it mostRead More fascinating. I've taken many of my older friends there, and we sat there and watched all the death in the final room in the video, the actual accidental deaths and the live killings. I think it's important to have a healthy view of what we all must go thru someday.

I definitely agree. Death is inevitable.I don't think there's anything wrong with being curiousRead More about it and this museum is definitely a great place to explore that curiosity. Every one I have talked to about my trip have all shared a similar interest in visiting the museum for themselves and I happily encourage it. It's one of LA's great little hidden gems in my book!

Jennifer, A wonderful piece! When I first moved to Southern California every member of my familyRead More (and my husband's) came to visit us. I went to Disneyland about 10 times in the first two years we lived here, then I developed a plan. When my brother, sister-in-law and three kids mentioned their desire to go, I handed them my car keys and a map (luckily we've got a GPS now) and told them I'd see them all later. This saved me endless amounts of stress and money. I love Disneyland, but...

Thanks, Irene! I definitely think you have a good plan! As much as I love the memories DisneyRead More rekindles, I'm going to stick my plan too! I will wait for kids!

J, I took my grandchildren to Disney World for a week -- it was sweltering. One day we got on theRead More bus and went to Animal Kingdom -- they were four and six years old at the time. We hadn't been there for more than half an hour when they both pulled at my arms and begged, "Can we go back to the hotel now and go swimming? It's too hot and smelly here". That night and the next day it poured -- the rain was so heavy that we stayed in the hotel and they watched cartoons. I kept thinking that we could have stayed home. The food at my house is better -- I don't have to eat on paper plates nor drink from paper cups. The following year I took them to Hawaii -- they loved the (seven days a week) camp offered at the hotel and never asked to go back to Disney World again.
