Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Day 3 – Ladies Night

The biggest annual event in Valley Village takes place Saturday, May 18th.

Yesterday we featured things you will find at the Colfax World Fair if you’re a kid. Today, we want to talk to the ladies. After all, it’ll mostly be the moms chasing down their little sprouts across the fair. So dads – give your honey a break and let her wander off to sample some of the items from the 3rd day of our 10-Day Countdown. Today we highlight a particular attraction, game or booth, food, silent auction item, and entertainment act especially geared to women.

Countdown to the Colfax World Fair – Day 3 – Ladies Night

Attraction: T-shirts and Bracelets

What girl doesn’t want a little extra bling? Choose from a variety of t-shirts provided by American Apparel and Threads 4 Thought, pick your artwork (including Valley Village logos) and your custom shirt will be silk screened in just a couple of minutes by Fresh Pressed. Or take home a stylish bracelet and leather wrap made by Good Work(s) Make a Difference. The Colfax World Fair is the only carnival you can attend where you actually look better when you leave than when you arrived.

Game or Booth: Ring Toss

For all you single ladies attending the Colfax World Fair, heed Beyoncé’s advice when you leave the Ring Toss Game Booth: “You shoulda put a ring on it.” Maybe it’ll win you a prize that’s even better than the date you brought.

Food Vendor: Beverage Bros. Slushies

It’s not quite the real margarita you’re used to having on Ladies Night, but it’s the next best thing. Beverage Bros. will be sloshing out your choice of blue raspberry or lemonade slushies. It’ll be the perfect thirst quencher on a hot fair day.

Silent Auction Item: Suburbia & Sheila Kelley S Factor

There’s so much fun for the ladies at the Colfax World Fair, we had to present two silent auction items for Day 3 – Mom’s Night Out @ Suburbia and the Sheila Kelly S Factor Party. The Suburbia package is a 3-hour party for 6 women at Suburbia Salon in Studio City.  Hair stylist extraordinaire Jen Ellenburg will treat each guest to a deep conditioner & blow dry, and Colfax’s resident sommelier Caitlin Wrobel will present an evening of wine tasting paired with a delicious variety of artisan cheeses. The next package includes a 2-hour private party for up to 10 guests at Sheila Kelley S Factor – a fitness club unlike any you’ve ever seen before! The party includes a pole dance, lap dance and dance routine workout party.  Find out first hand why it’s called “S” Factor.

Entertainment: Drill Team

Colfax Youth Development Program (CYDP) has a popular after-school program for girls in the 3rd – 5th grade. Saturday morning they’ll be competing in the Beyond the Bell competition, then at 5:15 they’ll be moving and grooving to a hip hop mix on the Colfax World Fair stage.

The Colfax World Fair takes place Saturday, May 18th from noon until 7:00 pm at Colfax Charter Elementary School – 11724 Addison St. in Valley Village. Admission and parking are free. Silent Auction items may be viewed by clicking here.
