Monday Essentials: Arnold Weiss Reading, Government Meetings

Here are some things to know in Studio City for the week ahead.

1. Actor Arnold Weiss is coming to the Studio City Library for a reading of Mark Weston's play "To Life: The Story of Chaim Weizmann." It starts at 6:30 p.m. Click here for more information.

2.  The Studio City Neighborhood Council holds its public safety commission and transportation committee meeting at 6:30 and 8 p.m., respectively. Click here for more information.

3. The Help Group's Kids Like Me after school program in Sherman Oaks meets at 4 p.m. The group is created especially for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental challenges. Click here for more information.

4. Gifted at Stitch Cafe opens Tuesday in Valley Village. Click here for more information.

5. Did any Studio City residents lose power recently? One resident did say it happened more than once in a day to her from Thursday into Friday.
