What's Up: Neighborhood Council Special Meeting on Harvard-Westlake Project

Here is five things to know in Studio City today.

1. The Studio City Neighborhood Council holds a special meeting at 7 p.m. at the CBS Studio Center Lot, 4024 Radford Ave., to discuss the Harvard-Westlake Expansion Project along Coldwater Canyon. Click here to view the draft environmental impact report, and click here for more information.

2. Also tonight, the neighborhood council's Public Safety Committee and Transportation Committee meetings have been cancelled.

3. The Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles is a new health and wellness chapter that will be included in the framework element of the city's general plan. There's a meeting at the Marvin Braude Constituent Service Center in Van Nuys at 4:30 p.m. As part of the city’s guiding planning document, the Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles will elevate health as a priority in the city’s future growth and development, and will be available for public review in early 2014. 4. Metropolitan Water district of Southern California in recognizes the leadership of Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian (AD 46) on important state water efforts in 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at the Sportsman's Lodge. There will be discussion on key water issues impacting the state, Southern California, and local communities. Click here for more information as seating is limited.

5. The Los Angeles Fire Department is asking residents to complete an online survey to help develop a community-driven strategic plan.The department is seeking to learn the public's priorities, expectations and areas of concerns. Click here for more information.
