What's Up: Thanksgiving Travel, City Closings, Trash Collection, Hanukkah

Here are five things to know in Studio City today.

1. The busy start to the holidays begins Wednesday, especially at LAX. Travelers are advised to arrive at ticketing lobbies two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights. Click here for more information.

2. Metro and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department issued a safety reminder to Thanksgiving travelers if you "see something, say something." Click here for more information.

3. Hanukkah begins at Sunday Wednesday. Click here for more information about what's happening in Studio City.

4. On Thanksgiving Thursday, government offices, courts, schools, libraries, banks and post offices will be closed. There will be no trash collection by city crews in Los Angeles and residents whose trash is normally collected on Thursday will have it picked up Friday. Friday trash collection will be pushed to Saturday. Metro buses, trains and subways will be on a Sunday schedule. Services return to normal on Friday.
