Amanda Marin Stratt
March 1, 1979 – July 18, 2012
lived her life as the very embodiment of love: giving love freely with every breath of her life and loved immeasurably by her friends and family.
Born in Australia, Amanda lived most of her life in California, making the eclectic, artsy neighborhood of Studio City her beloved home here.
Amanda fulfilled a childhood dream when she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and became a swimwear designer for Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Nautica, and others in her early 20's.
Then, inspired by her late father, Randy Stratt, Amanda shifted focus and, in 2009, was certified as a Reiki healer by the American Reiki Academy.
The following year she opened L.A. Reiki – a cozy healing sanctuary located in Studio City which she dedicated to the memory of her father.
L.A. Reiki now serves hundreds of clients and was the fulfillment of Amanda's life’s purpose.
Amanda lived a bright life of joy, passion, and grace that were ever inspiring to those around her. Amanda touched so many lives - in the Studio City community and beyond. And she leaves so many friends and family members missing her spirit every day, including her mother, Kathleen Stratt; her younger sister, Acasia Stratt; her grandmother, Peggy Crowley; the love of her life, Tom Breuer; and countless friends.
A memorial will be held in Amanda's honor on the Fall Equinox - September 22, 2012, at 4pm at the Old North Church, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills.
In honor of Amanda’s bright spirit, her family welcomes color at her memorial.
