My 5mo old male BRINDLE French Bulldog went missing on 3/1/12 at 10pm from the main crossroads of Lankershim and Magnolia in the Noho Arts District. He was wearing his collar with my contact info on it.
He is about the size of a pug. Distinct (pseudo CA shaped) white pattern on his chest and a white goatee. He looks black but you will see a lot of brown stripes (brindle) throughout his coat.
Because of his age and the desirability of the breed I believe whoever picked up has decided to keep him or sell him. Frenchies are near or at the top of the list when it comes to pet theft; an ever increasing problem.
I've found out that he city's policies on posting signs do NOT help you find a pet but inhibit it. Getting the word out to the public is a monumental task unless you have a lot of cash on the side to pay for a 3rd party to do it for you.
At this point, it's going to be the involvement of the local community if there is any hope of being reunited with him.
Please keep your eyes out for him. His big "Stitch" or rabbit ears will always attract your eye. It's not easy to hide this dog because every Frenchie has a unique variation in their markings. Jot down someone's license plate if you see them. Frenchie owners generally love talking about their dogs and should know everything about their them.
If you are able and willing to donate your time, effort and resources or have any tips please contact me.
I am offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who provides me with info that results in his successful return home.
Thank you,
Jason B
