LA County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and many county officials, along with the LA County Dept. of Public Works and the Village Gardeners broke ground Saturday on the north side of the Los Angeles river. The North Valleyheart Riverwalk will be planted with California native plants and trees, while improving the trail and access. Look for new benches and Public Art and come walk the soon not so dusty greenway between Coldwater Canyon and Fulton Avenue. The project was conceived by the Village Gardeners of the Los Angeles River, a nonprofit group dedicated to beautifying our river.
