FBLA SOCES - event recap
The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter at the Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies (SOCES), founded by Alyssa Chang, a Freshman student at SOCES, recently developed a series of career development panels that focus on empowering girls from diverse backgrounds in developing their interest and knowledge about a wide range of careers so they can make informed decisions about their own career path.

At the inaugural panel, held at Warner Bros. Studios, FBLA SOCES's guest speakers were May Lee, a prominent journalist and former CNN anchorwoman, and Kassy Cho, Chief Blogger at the UCLA Daily Bruin. The audience consisted of a group of diverse high school girls who attend magnet school at the Los Angeles Unified School District.

FBLA SOCES is the SOCES chapter of the largest and oldest business student organization in the world, comprised of quarter of a million high school and middle school students, college and university students, faculty, educators, administrators, and business professionals. FBLA SOCES strives to empower middle school and high school students through career and leadership development and community service.
