Art Ginsburg, Lisa Sarkin, Others Honored at Residents Association Meeting Tuesday

The annual Studio City Residents Association plans to honor some local activists.

The Studio City Residents Association will bestow their highest honors Tuesday night to local residents who have made major contributions to the community.

President Alan Dymond said, "The General meeting is a time to honor five community volunteers who have given enormous amount of time making our community a great place to live."

Honorees are:

Lisa Sarkin, of the Studio City Neighborhood Council, and Land Use chair;

Art Ginsburg, of Art's Deli

Sandra Reed-Funnell, of the and former Studio City Chamber of Commerce executive director; 

Karl Johnson, local sculptor who created the Radford Art Walk; 

Carey Banks, a local student activist.

Also on the agenda, Los Angeles Police Senior Lead Office Mike Lewis will make a report on local safety concerns;

A presentation of SCRA's contribution to Studio City Recreation Center to support a local park; and,

SoCal Gas Company will inform residents about the NEW smart meters that are being installed followed by a question and answer period.

The bi-monthly meeting will be held Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with light refreshments at the SCRA's Annual General Meeting at the Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn Theatre at 4222 Vineland Ave. where there is free validation to park.
