LAST CHANCE! Buying a Christmas Tree to Help the Homeless

The First Christian Church of North Hollywood sells trees with all the proceeds going to the local homeless families.

Since 1982, volunteers at the First Christian Church of North Hollywood have learned how to trim pine trees, cut off the bottom branches and mount them onto stands all to help the homeless in the San Fernando Valley.

The Trees for Kids program is opened through Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the church parking lot at 4390 Colfax Ave. in Studio City.

They will help you pick the proper tree for your needs, and they have a wide variety of choices and sizes.

The money goes to the Children's Defense Fund, Operation Santa Claus, the Valley Interfaith Council and World Outreach.

See the video to watch some of the members of the church shape and cut the trees and help them put them on top of the car.
