Earthquake Shakes Los Angeles Area

The temblor's epicenter was in San Bernardino County; however, the shaking was felt all the way to the coast.

A magnitude-4.4 earthquake struck Southern California at about 1:35 Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake's epicenter was about three miles north of Fontana in San Bernardino County; however, shaking was felt all the way in the South Bay.

Within 15 minutes, more than 130 people had reported feeling the quake on the USGS Community Internet Intensity Map. Within a half-hour, that number had jumped to more than 750 responses in more than 200 ZIP codes, including Studio City.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
