Ed Begley Jr. and Other Stars Join the Public to 'Walk in No Shoes' on Sunday

Register today for the Sudan Relief fundraiser.

Join a host of international celebrities and activists on Sunday at Woodley Park in Van Nuys to “Walk in No Shoes” to help out the Sudan Relief.

“Everyone has heard about walking in someone else’s shoes, this is walking in no shoes,” said Studio City actor Ed Begley Jr. “And it is a good and important cause.”

Begley is known for his environmental activism and lifestyle, but this is his involvement in an international cause, and a human cause, he said.

It’s a cause that was brought to light in Washington, D.C. by fellow Studio City resident George Clooney. (See this dramatic and raw video about the issues.)

The event is a 10K walk, 5K walk and 1K “Walk in No Shoes” to raise awareness and money for the war-ravaged south Sudanese genocide victims. Organizers said the event will allow Los Angelenos who have been horrified by the tragic news stories about genocide in South Sudan—but perhaps have felt powerless to help such seemingly insurmountable circumstances on the other side of the world—to take meaningful action to support the South Sudanese people who have endured more than 20 years of horrendous religious persecution, enslavement, rape, torture, starvation and senseless murder at the hands of their own government.
