Contemporary Worship Service - First Christian Church of North Hollywood

Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; His name is the Lord and rejoice before him.  (Psalm 68:4)"Come as you are" on Sunday afternoons to a service of praise, fellowship, communion and spiritual inspiration. The 5:30 service is not just an alternative to traditional worship, but an opportunity to demonstrate that the presence of God is with us at all times, not just in formal worship settings.The praise band lifts us in song as we begin worship with uplifting music that sets the tone for finding renewed energy of spirit.  They also prepare the way for our time of prayer and going to God with the concerns and desires of our hearts.  In our prayer time we seek healing and clarity, but also offer thanksgiving to God for the blessings we have received, as well as for those that are on their way.  With a sense of expectancy we call upon God, knowing that having done so, we have always been heard.  In addition to song and prayer there are inspirational messages presented not just in word, but often with additional music. Central to who we are as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), we will share communion.  This celebration of Christ's table is open to all who wish to participate.  It is Christ's table and it is at His invitation that you are invited. ALL ARE WELCOME!
