"Walking the Bible."
This study will look at both the PBS video and at
the original stories as we read them in the Bible. There
will be opportunity for reflection and discussion.
We will begin our series on September 13 with a
special guest, Rabbi Brian Zachary Mayer. I consider
this a special blessing as this date comes in the midst
of one of the busiest times of the year for Rabbis
– between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur! We will
learn more about the Torah and how contemporary
Judaism approaches Scripture.

We will be studying the chronology of the Bible, a history of Ancient Israel and Early Christianity, and placing the books of the Bible into the context of history. We will also be considering other historical events and people to understand the world context for events that are recorded in the Bible. Rev. Louise Sloan Goben and Jacqui Dixon will be co-leading this study. It will run for 8 weeks.
