Gusty Winds Continue Through Friday

Tree debris continues to be a problem in Studio City and Sherman Oaks.

A worker grumbled while cleaning up branches and leaves in front of a Studio City hills home Wednesday.

"I did this yesterday and it looks like I did nothing again today," said Ramon Garcia, who works regularly in the Silver Triangle area as a gardener.

Gusty winds are expected again, especially in the San Fernando Valley. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the San Fernado Valley as well as the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Gabriel mountains and the Santa Monica Mountain Recreational Area.

The advisory is expected to continue until Thursday afternoon.

The weather service said that a "tight surface pressure gradient will allow gusty north winds to continue across portions of southwestern California."

Gusts are 20 to 35 mphs. and could get up to 55 mph late this evening and continue through Thursday morning. Wind advisories are issued when they could exceed 45 mph.

Strong winds could make driving hazardous, the weather service warned.
