Heal the Bay, City of L.A. Organizes 'A Day With a Bag'

The event to hand out 8,000 reuseable bags across the city on Nov. 18 aims to raise awareness of the plastic bag ban taking effect in January, including at locations in nearby Beverly Hills and Sun Valley.

A day of education is prepped celebrate "A Day With a Bag" on Nov. 18 across the City of Los Angeles, readying Thanksgiving shoppers and retailers for the implementation of its single-use, plastic shopping bag ban that begins on Jan. 1.

In partnership with the City of Los Angeles' Bureau of Sanitation and many other partners, Heal the Bay will organize the distribution of 8,000 reusable bags across the City in every council district, including TreePeople in nearby Beverly Hills, the Canyon Plaza Shopping Center in Sun Valley and the Ferndell Nature Museum.
