Local Activists Honored by Studio City Residents Association

Art Ginsburg, Sandra Reed-Funnell and others are among the honorees.

The Studio City Residents Association gave their highest honors to local residents who have made major contributions to the community. (Lisa Sarkin suffered a knee injury and was presented her award at a Land Use Committee meeting.)

President Alan Dymond said, "The General meeting is a time to honor five community volunteers who have given enormous amount of time making our community a great place to live."

Sandra Reed-Funnell, of the and former Studio City Chamber of Commerce executive director; 

Karl Johnson, local sculptor who created the Radford Art Walk; 

Carey Banks, a local student activist.

The bi-monthly meeting will be held Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with light refreshments at the SCRA's Annual General Meeting at the Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn Theatre at 4222 Vineland Ave. where there is free validation to park.
