Monday Essentials: Puppy Rescue, Elections and Harvard-Westlake Expansion Project

Here are five things to know in Studio City this week.

1.      Friends and fans of Lucky Puppy Rescue & Retail, 12238 Ventura Bvld., are trying to raise the funds to keep the non-profit pet store open. Lucky Puppy Rescue is a no-kill shelter and needs to raise $40,000 to keep its doors open. For more information about the fundraising, click here.

2.      Tuesday is the Los Angeles County local and municipal consolidated elections. For information about the candidates or polling places, click here

3.      The Studio City Neighborhood Council will be holding a special meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the CBS Studio Center Lot, 4024 Radford Ave., to discuss the Harvard-Westlake Expansion Project along Coldwater Canyon. For more information, click here

4.      The Studio City Neighborhood Council's Cultural Affairs Committee meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the CBS Radford Studios, 4024 Radford Ave. Click here for more information. 

5.      Metropolitan Water District of Southern California will host a water-supply issues briefing at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Blvd. Complimentary breakfast will be served. For more information, click here
