More Beagle Rescue Photos, More Love Needed

Actress Alexandra Paul, founder Shannon Keith and the Beagles make plea for loving homes.

It's a little more than a week since the 10 Beagles were rescued from a test lab, but they need more love, and more homes for adoption.

"We do need more foster homes for these Beagle boys!" said Marina Ramos, the Events and Outreach Coordinator for the Beagle Freedom Project.

All applicants and their homes will be vetted as appropriate.

Some people attending the recent rescue provided some more wonderful photos of the Beagle Freedom Project.

Gary Smith, of the project, said that the greeting was as wonderful as it looked.

The dogs were subjected to experiments involving their throats and stomachs, but even after years of such treatment, they seem as friendly and trustworthy as ever.

The dogs are 4 to 7 years old and they traveled 1,500 miles to get to the Valley Village locale for the 11th rescue by this team. They have placed Beagles in 106 homes.

The Beagle Freedom Project received international attention when rescuing 40 dogs from Spain in November 2011.

Actors Corey Feldman and Alexandra Paul were on hand to greet the dogs at a private location on the border of Valley Village and Studio City.

Representatives from the Project say the dogs are "in varying degrees of emotional health and need some extra TLC."

To prevent the need for rescues like this, the Beagle Freedom Project has sent a letter to every laboratory in the United States that uses dogs in testing and proposed that they participate in their campaign for retirement, rehabilitation and re-homing.
