Bad Taste? What Do You Think?

The ads along Ventura Boulevard may have gone too far.

Studio City resident John Mekrut sent in this photo and says he thought it was in bad taste.

There is a series of photos along the boulevard by Bob Gruen showing rock stars in an exhibit at the Annenberg Space for Photography www.annenbergspaceforphotography.org.

The exhibit is called "Who Shot Rock and Roll?"

It may be an unfortunate title when showing John Lennon, who was gunned down in front of his house in Manhattan.

What do you think? Please comment below.

C'mon! Here we go again, trying to govern opinion. It's true: John Lennon was shot and killed and music DID suffer due to those consequences. We all know this. What's the problem?

I just think it's in poor taste to juxtapose the word "shot", referring to the act of photography (the subject of the show) with, to my knowledge, the only Rock and Roll icon to actually have been shot and killed. I might have chosen to leave his picture out of the ad campaign.
