Brittany Bell, the First Miss Studio City, Heads for State Pageant
Meet Brittany Bell, the first Miss Studio City, who could be on the path to a Miss America win someday.
Beautiful, talented and smart—and representing Studio City, Brittany Bell, 23, heads to Fresno on June 25 to compete for the title of Miss California. A statewide win would put her on the path to the Miss America pageant.
Bell moved here from Arizona with a degree in broadcast journalism. After competing as Miss Arizona 2010 in the Miss USA pageant, she became Miss Studio City in May.
Many people do not know the difference between the Miss America and Miss USA pageants, but as Bell explains in the video above: "The difference is, Miss America has a talent portion of the contest that is 35 percent of your score, and it is a scholarship pageant. They want to know what you have inside your head."

Bell's goal is to use the scholarship to pursue a law degree. She is now a dancer in the dance troupe called Bollywood Step. (Since she is using this talent for the contest we don't want to spoil it by showing it beforehand.)
Her platform is volunteering for Face in the Mirror, an organization dedicated to helping to make cancer patients feel better by touch and looking better.

Bell was also a Phoenix Suns cheerleader.
