This is the last Mr. Studio City column going in to any Patch site, but you can follow local celebrity happenings on the MrStudioCity Twitter account (https://twitter.com/MrStudioCity) and at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Studio City is full of celebs, as we know (the Chamber even calls itself the “Chamber to the Stars”!) And, many of our neighbors are stars, too.
So, it’s refreshing to note that a few of the stars who were regular readers of Patch would tell Mr. Studio City that they loved to know why Zac Efron was blocking their street to go to an awards show, or that it was Vanessa Hudgens who paparazzi were chasing to yoga class, or when George Clooney is going to have a big party.
And, we know how to keep secrets. We’ve chatted with Gwen Stefani while shutterbugs were snapping through the windows, we’ve been invited up to Miley Cyrus’s house, we’ve taken a tour of Ed Begley’s environmentally sound house, and his soon-to-be-built house, and we’ve sat in Mike Farrell’s living room to talk about his daughter’s charity and politics. We’ve hiked with Sally Kirkland in Fryman Canyon, gone to screenings with Dennis Christopher, lunched with Marsha Hunt and Britney Spears has played with our wiener dogs at the dog park.
That’s not to brag, just to show that living in the community shows that you can be good neighbors to your star friends and still write about them. . . .
Our old friend and longtime Studio City resident Bill Nye the Science Guy wasn’t able to overcome his leg injury in “Dancing with the Stars” but he did some amazing performances (he’s 57!) His latest venture is an online Web series called “Why With Nye” that just launched last week. You can old can learn from him . . . (See: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTP7oKl8qFmlbOL-RqEbQAzin2t4sSBkx) . . .
Bruce Willis was in Studio City with his wife Emma Heming and daughter Mabel, making a quick stop (and change), and then off to school . . .
Gwen Stefani and her oh-so-cute kid Zuma (Kingston is cute, too), loves to go shopping in Studio City, at both the fancy shops and the discount stores along Ventura Boulevard, just down the hill from her house. Yes, we can confirm that she’s a bit preggers, as the tabloids have long speculated, but she just didn’t want to officially announce it until she was further along. . . .
And so, Mr. Studio City closes after more than 150 entries with rhyming titles.
