Ed Begley Jr. Talks About the Importance of Saving Animals—Joins Fundraiser Next Week

Environmental activist and actor Ed Begley Jr. loves animals. He has lent his name and likeness to causes that have to do with veganism, saving elephants and many more causes.

Next Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. he will be joining fellow friends and comics at Universal City in a fundraiser.

Comedians Fred Willard and Jim Piddock will emcee the Actors and Others for Animals' Best of Show Pet Competition fundraiser.

Leonard Maltin, Begley Jr., Weird Al Yankovic and Tippi Hedren will share videos of their pets being their cutest, funniest or most lovable in competition to be named ``Best in Show.''

The afternoon includes a silent auction and vegetarian luncheon. Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, 555 Universal Drive.
