Encino Couple Shirley Jones and Marty Ingels Celebrate 35 Years Together

The couple host a two-week luxury cruise.

Oscar-winning actress and Emmy nominee Shirley Jones, who is currently guest starring in multiple episodes of the TBS series "Cougar Town," will celebrate her 35th wedding anniversary to actor-comedian Marty Ingels by remarrying him in a shipboard ceremony on one of the largest ocean cruise liners, the S.S. Princess Golden.

The cruise set sail from San Pedro on Wednesday for two weeks. The luxury cruise is Ingels' offer to Shirley to remarry him and to celebrate a 35-year marriage that has had its public ups and downs.

Actually, Ingels came up with the marriage proposal, Jones came up with the cruise idea, which will take them direct to the Hawaiian Islands in a five-port all-out excursion.

The marriage cruise comes at a seemingly strategic time for so many who have reported rumors of marital strife with the couple that have been described as "The World's oddest."

"But then, there have also been rumors of murder, arson, beheading, strangulation, castration, gang rape, intermarital sumo-wrestling, and extremely harsh language at the Ingels' domicile," said Edward Lozzi, Shirley Jones and Marty Ingels' publicist.
