PBS SoCaL will celebrate arts and entertainment within the Southern California community when it hosts the 2012 “Masterpiece Ball” on Saturday, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. Benefiting PBS and the station’s educational outreach in Southern California, the fifth-annual gala will be held at the Atlantic Aviation Hangar at John Wayne Airport, and will honor: Masterpiece Executive Producer Rebecca Eaton, the woman who brought the hit PBS series “Downton Abbey” to America; Marybelle and S. Paul Musco, supporters of PBS and the arts in Southern California; and South Coast Repertory and Founding Artistic Directors David Emmes and Martin Benson.
“Masterpiece Ball” will be emceed by “Real Orange” hosts Ann Pulice and Ed Arnold, and feature on-air personalities Camille Dixon, Maria Hall-Brown and Rick Reiff. Musical guests JT and California Dreamin’ are back by popular demand to entertain attendees with their talented ensemble of horns, strings, woodwinds, keyboards, percussion and singers.
The evening’s festivities will feature a hosted cocktail reception, dinner, a live auction for gifts and vacations, and a Fund-The-Need. All gifts received during the evening’s Fund-The-Need effort will be put toward the KOCE-TV Foundation, which is focused on making PBS SoCaL the leading educational force in homes throughout the Southern California area.
“Masterpiece Ball” is a black tie optional event with costumes preferred. Highlights of the evening will be taped for future broadcast on PBS SoCaL.
