Midnight Red Boys Out to Bowl, Halle Berry Takes a Stroll; Oscar Stars Eat Vegan Meal, Ashley Tisdale’s French Appeal

What stars have you seen around The SC?

The very, very hot band Midnight Red showed up at a fundraiser bowling and poker playing event at PINZ Bowling this week. The guys loved bowling—Colton Rudloff, Eric Secharia and Thomas Augusto were there—and they stopped to answer questions (see video above.)

Also see some video footage by Pop Candy of the other stars at the event, including Chris Brown, who got in a little hot water for refusing to pay the valet for his half-hour at the event.

The Stars & Stripes Celebrity Bowling and Poker Tournament also included Nick Cannon, Akon, Jasmine Villegas, Patrick Stump, Ariana Grande, The Wanted (Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker & Nathan Sykes), Ariana Grande, Akon, Fall Out Boy (Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, Andy Hurley), Nathan Owens, Trevor Jackson, Ozomatli to name a few. (Video interviews of some of the stars are in the gallery above.) . . .

On Tuesday morning, Halle Berry stopped by a private home on the corner of Morse Avenue and Landale Street in Studio City. The Academy Award-winning actress arrived in a chauffeured black Cadillac Escalade, and was quickly escorted inside. Neighbors say she was taping a segment for the E! show Chelsea Lately. It was just announced that Berry is going to come back to the X-Men series to play Storm in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. . . .

Ashley Tisdale was seen going to a French restaurant (Bistro Garden) in Studio City and ordering French cuisine along with her cozy new beau Christopher French. They make a very cute couple . . .

Ed Begley Jr. is very good about spreading his talents around, and people may not know that he’s a pretty good cook. He had over to his Studio City house six of the Academy Award nominees for a pre-Oscar vegan lunch. Who were they? It was a top notch guest list with half a dozen Oscars (a few Tonys and Golden Globes and Emmys, too) between them. They were Robert De Niro, Daniel Day Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, Tommy Lee Jones and Alan Arkin.

Don't you wish you were a bug on that wall?

I wish the media had countered Garcetti's claims with an examination of the facts and had exposedRead More his relationship with BIG development. Only the LA Weekly covered these stories--keep reading it and keep posting.

Oh, it was under announcements and not opinion so that is why I did not understand the post whichRead More appeared as facts.

Presumptuous? What about my "endorsement" is presumptuous. You don't really need toRead More respond😃, I just didn't understand the comment.

I attended N.H.H.S. in the mid-seventies. Mr. Reeves and Mr. Moelter were two of my favorites.Read More Loved Mr. McLeroy for Sociology.

great article Mary! Ms. Korney, she sometimes scared me to death! But always around christmas IRead More think of her and pronounce my letters clearly at the end of a word when I sing. I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.

I also notice Wendy Gruel has no platform, except taking money from special interest (most notablyRead More her puppet masters at the DWP) and having one of the most negative campaigns I've ever seen......no thanks, negative Wendy, fool me once.....Eric is our next Mayor....

The signs are everywhere! Please vote for Wendy, Nora. He is also running ads about Wendy GreuelRead More that he knows are outright lies.
