Sofia Vergara, Zooey Deschanel, Mila Kunis, George Clooney and Some Studio City Locals at the Globes [PHOTOS]

tweeted on her way to the Golden Globes that her fingernails are dressed well, writing: "I am wearing a gown but my nails are wearing tuxedos!!!" (see the photo of the Twitpix above). She went to the awards show, which she is nominated for, from her Studio City house with her sister.

"I'm so thrilled to be here with my sister," she told as she arrived in Beverly Hills, wearing a classy Prada dress.

was quipping with her fellow Modern Family co-star . Not only are the two of them on the show together, but they are both Studio City residents and frequent shoppers in the area.

"I worked out twice a week to get into shape and into this dress, I'm glad it zips up," said Sofia, who was wearing Vera Wang and Harry Winston jewelry and was breathtaking. One person tweeted that she looked like "a gorgeous midnight blue mermaid."

Local resident looked great, as did s latest squeeze , who you can catch jogging Fryman Canyon every morning. 

Kunis got a lot of good tweets, such as: "Mila is SMOKIN' hot in the black Dior gown. It doesn't get much sexier than that, folks."

On the way in, Clooney said, "It's nice to be around when people are nice to you. I am having fun."

George Clooney took home his third career Golden Globe on Sunday, winning Best Actor, Drama for his role in "The Descendants." He starred in the Alexander Payne-directed film as Matt King, a man struggling to navigate fatherhood through a storm of bad news.

His problems are myriad: King finds out that his comatose wife, who is slowly dying after a surfing accident, had an affair; he has to make a decision over the impending sale of his family's inherited Hawaiian land; and he has very little idea how to interact with his kids.

An understated performance, Clooney's ability to anchor the film and keep it grounded wowed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and puts him in lead position amongst the Best Actor Oscar contenders going into next month's Academy Awards.
