The local resident debuted her movie at the Studio City Film Festival.

It was the tsunami in Asia that got her motivated.

"I realized that life was so fragile and things could change in a moment, and that is what led me to thinking about this movie," said Sandra Payne.

She came from Carrolton, Texas and moved to Toluca Lake before moving to Studio City in 2001.

In May of 2008, she won $10,000 in the "Remake Your Shake" video contest for Tic Tac. She also won the Austin Film Festival Trailer competition in 2004, 2005 and 2007. She won a Platinum Remi Award from WorldFest Houston in 2009 for video game promo, "Everybody Games."
