Sylvester Stallone Hires Private Eye to Investigate Son's Death

The death in Studio City is under investigation by Scott Ross.

Sylvester Stallone was reported today to have hired a high-profile private eye to determine , an actor, writer and producer.

Sage Moonblood Stallone was found dead Friday at his apartment in the 8100 block of Mulholland Terrace in the Hollywood Hills. An autopsy was conducted over the weekend, but the results of toxicology tests won't be available for weeks.

Private investigator Scott Ross on Tuesday met with Stallone, his brother, Frank, and an official from the Los Angeles County coroner's office to discuss Sage's death, the celebrity news website TMZ.com reported. Ross worked on the Michael Jackson molestation case and the Rihanna/Chris Brown battery case.

Stallone is seeking information about the last weeks of his son's life and wants to know if anything was troubling him, according to TMZ. He has worked with Ross before and trusts him.

Sage was Stallone's oldest child by his first wife, Sasha Czack, who is also known as Sasha Ash.

Authorities have said little about the cause of death. Some prescription pill bottles were taken from the apartment, but a coroner's spokesman would not say what kind.

Investigators found no signs of foul play or trauma, or a suicide note, Ed Winter of the coroner's office said.

Although the investigation was primarily being handled by the coroner's office, the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division was also involved -- a common occurrence in high-profile cases.

Sage Stallone had major dental surgery two weeks before he was found dead at home, according to his mother, who said she warned her son against having five teeth pulled on the same day.

"I told him not to do that. I've heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to your mouth. Do not have more than one tooth (pulled)," Sasha Czack told the New York Post Monday. She suggested her son was taking painkillers following surgery.

great article Mary! Ms. Korney, she sometimes scared me to death! But always around christmas IRead More think of her and pronounce my letters clearly at the end of a word when I sing. I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.
