Why Go: Thousands of books at next-to-nothing prices.

Pricing: Free admittance.

 

3. WATERCOLOR AND OIL PAINTING OPEN WORKSHOP

Where/When: Renee's Art Studio, 20531 Devonshire St., Chatsworth, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Why Go: Open to all, this workshop is a great opportunity to sharpen those artistic skills.

Pricing: $75 and up.

 

4. TAIKO CLASS (JAPANESE DRUMMING) 

Where/When: REMO Recreational Music Center, 7308 Coldwater Canyon, North Hollywood, Saturday, 3 p.m.

Why Go: Learn the basics of Japanese drumming as well as enjoy a demonstration of ancient sacred Buddhist rhythms.

Pricing: $15

 

5. THE BLACK & WHITE EVENT 

Where/When: Aura Nightclub, 12215 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, Sunday, 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Why Go: Start celebrating Valentine's Day early! This event is for couples and singles: Couples are asked to wear white and singles are encouraged to wear black. 21+.
