A couple who worked for at his Studio City house for two decades filed court documents suing the actor because they said they suffered humiliation, embarrassment and mental anguish in addition to the loss of earning.
According to court documents, TMZ reported, Oscar Alfaro worked as a handyman for Shatner and his wife Delmy worked as a housekeeper, they said for 20 years at his home in the Studio City hills.
The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court alleges that Shatner and his wife "harassed and berated" the employees because they refused to sign a waiver after getting injured on the job.
According to TMZ:
"Oscar claims he was injured while working at theactor’s Studio City home … but when Shatner wanted him to sign a document to release him from financial responsibility … Oscar refused. Oscar also has stated that because of his refusal, the actor along with his wife retaliated against him by harassing Oscar and his wife to the point where they were both forced to quit their jobs.”
They are suing for unspecified damages.
Shatner has not responded to the claims.
