It's Earth Week!

The library is a great steward of our Earth, it's green all year long.

You loved the book. The movie was thrilling. You’ve enjoyed your purchases, but now what?

Libraries. The ultimate in the 3 R’s - Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Think about it. You can check out books and movies for free at your local library and return them for someone else to reuse and enjoy.  And those books and DVD’s that are taking up space in your closet? Recycle and donate them to the library for used book sales. After all, who isn’t looking for a tax write-off? It's a "win-win" situation.

Libraries are full of information on green resources. You can find out more about sustainable materials, on planting your own garden, or ideas on how to cut your energy bill. Many libraries these days even have fun workshops and programs to help you learn more about sustainability and being green, too.

Go ahead. Dig that library card out of your wallet and celebrate Earth Week all year long with your local library.
