A Winterfest Not to be Forgotten!

A great time had by all, the first Studio City Winterfest was a big success!

Today was the first, and what will hopefully become the annual Studio City Winterfest. As someone who came early and left late, I’m going to go ahead and call it a huge success. I wound up working at the photo table because my sister was the one taking the free pictures with Santa, and I have to say, she and Santa were troopers. They worked from 1:30 – 5 p.m. with only two ten or fifteen minute breaks, and the kids just kept on coming. It turns out this Santa guy is rather popular.

Although I was stuck behind a table all day, I could see much of the park from my vantage point and everyone appeared to be having a good time. There was face painting, crafts for the kids, classic cars, and a variety of food, and, of course, tons of snow. Not something we see too often around here.

There was Radio Disney, and some fantastic performances by kids from local schools. Admittedly, I had feared being so close to the stage could at times prove painful but every performance was at a professional standard of excellence.

I’m sure, as with any undertaking of this magnitude, there were probably a few hiccups here and there, but overall everything appeared to run incredibly smoothly. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and well organized. I tip my hat to all the fabulous people who worked so hard to make this event as wonderful as it was. You all did an amazing job.
