Book-signing with Michelle Sathe: Sathe, the author of "Pit Stops: Crossing the Country With Loren the Rescue Bully," will sign copies of her new book at an event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Kriser's All-Natural Pet Store, 2507 Ventura Blvd., Studio City. Actors and Others for Animals: Longtime animal advocate Betty White will be honored by Actors and Others for Animals at its 40th anniversary fundraising luncheon on April 9. Special guests will include Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, Ken Howard, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jamie Lee Curtis, Susan Lucci and many others. Teeth-cleanings and vaccinations: Rusty's Discount Pet Center, 11676 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, offers pet teeth-cleaning without anesthesia and low-cost vaccinations on the first and third Friday of every month. The next clinics are on April 1 and 15.
