Abandoned 8 1/2 Taverna Becomes Girasol

L.A. Eater reports the venue change.

A fresh-farm eatery called Girasol is taking the place of 8 1/2 Taverna in Tujunga Village, according to EaterWire.

The Italian restaurant lasted about a year and then the place closed up. Neighbors thought for a while it was for a film shoot, but the restaurant never reopened.

See some of the neighbor's reports here.

The only report is that it's "coming soon," but it's not sure when.
