Elegant Balloons Owner is Inflated with Pride
Laurel Canyon business has been pumping up Studio City parties for eight years
has lived on the corner of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Ventura Place for eight years. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, when the front of the store is back stage to the Studio City Farmer’s Market, owner Shawn Aghdassi sits contentedly alone in the cool of his store, working at his computer.
The store is festooned with balloons inflated and flat. There are greeting cards lining one wall and filling rotating racks. Elegant Balloons must be the go-to spot for anniversary, bar mitzvah and graduation decoration in Studio City, not just for the plethora of puffy products, but because the owner keeps the prices right.
