In California, prices went up seven cents a gallon for an average price of $3.81 in the state. In Studio City prices range from $3.85 to $4.19.
If you're traveling long distances and want to plan your gas strategy, the lowest price in the state is in the Woodland, Yuba City and San Bernardino areas (as low as $3.39) and some of the highest prices (around $4.49) are in the Cambria, Needles and Long Beach areas.
The average price around the country this week is $3.58 a gallon, down about 2 cents from last week. It continues to be about $3.73 a gallon in California, which is no different from last week, but about 59 cents higher than this time last year.
Prices are still about 87 cents more than it was a year ago, nationally.
