After much anticipation, a charming little store called Gifted…at Stitch Cafe will open on Oct. 1 in Valley Village just north of Studio City.
Gifted is a new venture, but it is attached to a well-established yarn
shop called Stitch Cafe, which has been in business for the last 10 years.
The boutique will feature hand crafted goods and gifts made by local artisans, and at its debut the shop will have a highly eclectic compilation of items, including handmade greeting cards, recycled leadfree pewter and eco-friendly accessories, indie boho jewelry, bath and body products, pet treats, artistic jewelry for men and women, custom illustrations and wall art, hand sewn baby blankets, appliquéd tees for kids and babies, pearl collars and necklaces for pets, graphic wall art, mosaic key-holder/catchalls, loose leaf tea blends and tea accessories.
“What we’ve tried to create with Gifted is a collection of fine handmade goods, but we also see it as a way of building our community by supporting its local artists, crafters, and small businesses,” said Marcy Feldman, shop owner. She said they see the shop as a way of building the community by supporting local artists, crafters and small businesses.
The items and artisans will be ever changing, with between 12 and 20 vendors in residence at any time.
