Two PTA moms in Studio City, who were both New York fashion designers until recently, are willing to come rummage through your closet and tell you what to throw away and what to keep—and then go shopping with you.
"It's a perfect gift to give to a housewife who is pregnant and doesn't think anything fits her anymore, or to a husband who needs some help with his wardrobe," said Denise DaVinci, who started the local image consulting business with her friend Meg Gallagher.
DaVinci has a son at (and is helping the school come up with a l), and Gallagher is a mom at Colfax Charter nearby, and both of them worked in the fashion industry in Manhattan before settling down locally.
Now they're offering their services on a holiday special. A $500 value of wardrobe editing and consultation is $375. Packages can range up to a full four hours of clothes editing, a nine-hour shopping spree (two or three trips), six hours of styling and more for $1,875 (a $2,500 value).
The packages are far less than the $125 an hour they usually receive for their expertise.
"We started this a year ago when we offered it at a silent auction for the school and from there it sort of took off," DaVinci said.
They can be reached at GallagherDaVinci@gmail.com or calling (310) 867-1993. Their Twitter account is gdimagecuratorsGallagherDaVinci.
