The Los Angeles Country Museum of Art Muse group, club owner Stag Jones and Sypher Art Studios are sponsoring a one-of-a-kind New Year's Eve party at the Park Plaza Hotel downtown.
This legendary building will be turned into a roaring ‘20s-style party for one night only with a request to dress to impress. The ornate architecture and neo-Gothic style of the hotel, which was formerly an Elks Lodge, radiates a golden, glamorous age.
Go back in time and whirl around a gilded patio and a grand ballroom, where an 18-piece orchestra will serenade revelers on the dance floor. A speakeasy downstairs will house a burlesque show, hosted cocktails and other surprises. When the clock strikes midnight, get ready for fireworks and a champagne toast.
The evening’s entertainment throughout the hotel includes: Sypher Art Studios, jazz guitarist Brent Canter, Elliot Deutsch Big Band, Astra Dance Company, Sylphirance Royal, Alice Underground, The Josephina, and more.
There are two price categories: Fellas and Flappers: $50 (includes champagne toast); Big Daddies and Leading Ladies: $150 (includes reserved table service with hosted bar). Tickets (323) 857-6010 or purchase online. No tickets available at the door. Must be 21+ to attend.
LACMA Muse is the museum’s premier membership group for art enthusiasts in their 20s, 30s and 40s, but nonmembers are welcome.
