Famed gourmet market and cafe Joan's on Third is officially opening its location in Studio City, the former post office on Ventura Place, reports EaterLA and Zagat.

Owner Joan McNamara is building out the 4,000-square-foot space with an open floor plan and high ceilings.

LA Magazine speculates she will open the business in December. It will be close to the Studio City Farmer's Market.

Where will the parking be?

It's Ventura Place, you get no parking.

Where exactly is this, what building, never saw a post office except on Laurel Canyon and I've lived here for years. I thought businesses were required by law to provide necessary parking. More info please.

Big Five was a super market called Stop and Shop. The post office is West of it.

There's no parking on Third either, I'm sure they'll just have Valet....

I'm so excited for Joan's on Third to be opening in my neighborhood. It's insane that neighbors with TOO much time on their hands are inventing reasons to stop this welcome addition to our community (everyone's talking about Pat Fenton and Phyllis Nathanson causing delays for the opening). It's a gourmet deli, not a Walmart! JOAN, can't wait for your incredible food here in Studio City!

Who are Pat Fenton and Phyllis Nathanson and how are they causing delays? I am underwhelmed. Lemonade never opened, Girasol took years and most new restaurants are gone in a flash before I ever even try them. Parking will be ridiculous. Ho hum.
