LA Weekly was amazed at the "high level of fine art" available at the store. All eight Council Thrift Shop locations throughout Los Angeles have fine art, prints and special art finds along with furniture, bric-a-brac and clothing. To find a location near you go to www.councilthrift.com.
"One never knows what you will find at any of our Council Thrift Shops," said Hillary Selvin, executive director of NCJW/LA. "You can come looking for one specific item and discovery something else to buy. Our Council Thrift Shops are the primary source of funding for the wide-reaching programs and services for women, children and families that are offered through NCJW/LA."

On an annual basis, the Council Thrift Shops gives away more than 80,000 items to over 5,000 individuals through our Clothing Assistance Program which includes our Annual Clothing Giveaway. In addition, donations to the Council Thrift Shops enable NCJW/LA to provide community organizations with free clothing vouchers that can be used by individuals who may be returning to the workforce or who need back-to-school clothing for their children. Maintaining these services requires more than 80,000 donations annually.
The Council Thrift Shops are continually seeking donations including common household items, clothing, kitchen appliances, home and office furniture, home entertainment and accessories, jewelry, cars and miscellaneous goods. NCJW/LA Council Thrift Shops will arrange pick-up of goods based on a minimum donation.
