Lucky Puppy in Studio City Needs Fundraising to Stay Open

On its Facebook page, Lucky Puppy says every "share" equals $10 donated toward helping pay of its vet bill to stay open for business.

A humane pet store dedicated to helping shelter animals find loving homes in Studio City needs the community's fundraising help to pay off a $40,000 vet bill since opening a little more than a year ago.

According to employee Alice Ensor, Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail has helped place more than 300 dogs since opening and, if they cannot meet the fundraising goal to pay off its vet bills, it may be forced to close its doors.

"If you can't donate, tell someone," she said, saying any volunteerism spirit will help. "Come walk a dog."

On its Facebook page, Lucky Puppy says every "share" equals $10 donated.

The store is located at 12238 Ventura Boulevard and can be reached at 818-370-5516. To view its current fundraising status, click here and to watch the attached YouTube video from Lucky Puppy, click here.
